What are local School Boards and Superintendents doing to create safe learning environments? Are alternative schools working? How are special needs addressed? What is the role of school resource officers? Are they effective? What is the balance of discipline and security? The League of Women Voters of the Charleston Area is hosting an expert panel discussion on Keeping Our Schools Safe Wednesday April 18 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the YWCA, 106 Coming Street in Charleston.
Wednesday, May 9, 2012		Rue de Jean 39 John St, Downtown	Annual Meeting and Dinner. Join League Members for dinner on May 9th, as we celebrate the past year and plan for the year to come. Author and SC Historian Jack Bass is the guest speaker.
